AHMEDABAD, MARCH 3
MAS Financial Services Limited, a leading NBFC, recently organised the first tribute assembly in memory of its late Co-founder Mukeshbhai Gandhi, who passed away at the age of 63 in January 2021. The theme of the first virtual memorial lecture was “Turning Setbacks into Comebacks”.
Prarthana Gandhi, late Mukeshbhai’s daughter, set the tone for the event by recalling how her father had always encouraged her to pursue her dreams. This was followed by the lighting of the traditional lamp in presence of the family members, Directors and the senior team of MAS.
In his address, Kamlesh C Gandhi, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of MAS Financial Services Limited, recalled his long close personal and professional association with Sri. Mukeshbhai. “My companionship with Sri. Mukeshbhai is simply beyond words. We being with each other through thick and thin of life, was a matter of reflex and not an endeavor. The void by his passing away will always remain, but we are committed to our vision of Excellence through endeavours” he said.
Gandhi also recalled how Mukeshbhai had borrowed Rs. 1 lakh from a friend when they decided to set up their own venture in 1988. “MAS Financial today has AUMs of over Rs. 6,000 crore, which is steadily and consistently growing,” he added.
TT Srinivasaraghavan, an industry veteran Ex-MD and Director Sundram Finance Ltd and Chairman Emeritus of Finance Industry Development Council (FIDC), also addressed the tribute assembly.
‘Sri. Mukeshbhai worked with a passion, especially espousing the cause of the smaller NBFCs. He has left behind an outstanding legacy in terms of his contribution to the companies he has built and the teams he has built, and the company will reach greater heights in times to come,” he said, paying glowing tributes to Late Mukesh Gandhi.
He also delivered a lecture on “NBFCs as a catalyst in economic growth” on the occasion.
Darshana Pandya Executive director & CEO, also spoke on the occasion remembering her long association with Mukeshbhai of over two decades.
Author, educator, and motivational speaker Shiv Khera delivered a special discourse on “Turn setbacks into comebacks” on the occasion.
“The eulogies to Sri. Mukeshbhai and the respect paid to him remain me of a saying that “When good human beings pass away, they don’t die, they only depart. They live forever through their good deeds.” That is exactly what I hear from the previous speakers about Mukeshbhai. The legacy he has left behind is amazing,” Khera said. During his discourse, Khera also stressed the need for staying positive, cultivating good habits, and deciding priorities to turn life’s setbacks into comebacks.
The memorable event concluded with a vote of thanks to more than 2,000 attendees which was delivered by Dhvanil Gandhi representing the Gandhi Family and the promoters group. He works as Business Development Manager at MAS.
