A mega Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Camp for Defence, Defence Civilian and Central Government pensioners is being organised at Air Force Station, Tambaram, on Tuesday. The initiative aims to simplify and expedite the renewal of life certificates for pensioners through a single, technology-enabled platform.
The camp is being jointly conducted by the Indian Air Force and the Defence Accounts Department, Chennai, as part of the nationwide Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0, launched by the Government of India to promote digital empowerment among pensioners.
As part of the initiative, various banks and Defence Forces’ Records Offices have set up dedicated counters at the venue, offering one-stop solutions for pension-related services — including the renewal of life certificates, resolution of grievances, and awareness sessions on digital submission procedures.
The campaign underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for ease of living and ensuring timely pension disbursal to the nation’s veterans and retirees. Pensioners attending the camp will also receive hands-on demonstrations on using the Jeevan Pramaan digital platform for self-submission of life certificates in future.
This collaborative effort between the Indian Air Force and the Defence Accounts Department reflects a people-first approach, ensuring that senior citizens who served the nation continue to receive seamless, dignified, and efficient service support in their retirement years.
