The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Gujarat State Council has on Thursday announced appointment of Dr. Githa Heggde, Dean, MICA, Ahmedabad as the Co-Convenor of their Education Panel for the year 2024-25.
Dr. Heggde will help CII Gujarat State Council to strengthen activities, steer, develop and innovate events, and recommend policies.
Speaking about the appointment, Dr. Heggde said, “Being appointed as the Co-Convenor of the Education Panel, CII Gujarat State Council, is an honor. Through this appointment, I am eager to collaborate to ensure the overall education, policies, and initiatives that will shape the state’s educational sector. Our focus will be on conducting awareness programs for various stakeholders on the gaps and future of education.”
In the past, she has held the position of the Chairperson of the Confederation of Indian Industries – Indian Women Network (CII-IWN), Karnataka, and the Southern chapter FICCI ladies organization, apart from holding other distinguished positions in various professional bodies in the past.
She held leadership positions in leading business schools, steering them to accreditations and rankings such as AACSB, NBA, NAAC, NIRF and others. In terms of research and publications, she has been a Member of the European Marketing and Management Association, Member of the editorial board of Journal on Emerging markets, Country Director (India) EuroMed Business Research Institute, and Core member at the Centre for Emerging Markets, IIM, Lucknow. She has published articles on Marketing, Supply chain, Sales and Distribution in quality journals.
