GURUGRAM, MAY 6
In a major push to redefine aviation loyalty, Air India has launched Points Fest under its flagship loyalty programme Maharaja Club, celebrating a milestone of 100+ brand partnerships across lifestyle, travel, retail, and services.
The initiative marks a significant expansion of Air India’s transformation into a globally relevant, lifestyle-driven rewards ecosystem, with over 4.2 million member transactions recorded across 100+ partners in FY26.
A Loyalty Ecosystem That Goes Beyond Flying
Maharaja Club has rapidly evolved into an everyday rewards platform, enabling members to earn Maharaja Points not just through air travel but also through global lifestyle spending. The programme has witnessed a 2x rise in member engagement and partner activity, reflecting deeper participation across its expanding network.
To mark the milestone, Air India has introduced a limited-period campaign offering members up to 50% bonus Maharaja Points on eligible transactions and conversions until 31 May 2026.
Shop, Convert, Multiply Rewards
The Points Fest campaign offers two key earning pathways:
Shop and Earn:
Members receive a flat 50% bonus Maharaja Points on purchases across leading brands such as Adidas, Ajio, Apple, Atlys, FirstCry, Forest Essentials, H&M, Healthians, Levi’s, Myntra, Nike, Puma, UNIQLO, and The Bicester Collection.
Convert and Earn:
Members can also convert accumulated bank and partner reward points into Maharaja Points with tiered bonuses:
- 1–25,000 points: 10% bonus
- 25,001–50,000 points: 20% bonus
- 50,001–75,000 points: 30% bonus
- 75,001–100,000 points: 40% bonus
- Above 100,000 points: 50% bonus
Partners include Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, HSBC, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Flipkart SuperCoins, Audi India, and others.
Faster Rewards, Bigger Redemptions
The bonus points can significantly enhance redemption value across Air India’s growing domestic and international network. For instance, 2,00,000 Maharaja Points can unlock up to five one-way Economy Class tickets between Mumbai and London Heathrow or 20 round-trip domestic flights on routes like Delhi–Mumbai.
“A Loyalty Currency That Lives Every Day”
Sunil Suresh, Head of Loyalty, E-Commerce and Marketing, said:
“What we are building with Maharaja Club is not just a larger partner network but a fundamentally different loyalty proposition, one that is integrated into our customers’ everyday lives. As we scale this ecosystem globally, our focus is on making rewards more accessible, more flexible, and ultimately more valuable for our members. At Air India, we are proud to see that Maharaja Points are increasingly emerging as a trusted and versatile loyalty currency, driving consistent engagement across touchpoints.”
Programme Gets Bigger, Smarter, Simpler
Recent upgrades to the Maharaja Club include reduced points required for award flights and upgrades on 90% of routes, simplified cancellation rules, and faster tier progression—making loyalty more rewarding and accessible than ever.
