Ahead of Akshya Trititya, the central government-owned Mini-Ratna, Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation (MMTC) – PAMP conducted the first edition of Gold Bar Challenge in Chennai on Thursday.
- It was held from noon to 8 pm at its Chennai Shop at B-5, Block-9, Kences Tower No 1, Ramakrishna Street, T. Nagar

Twelve winners out of over 60 contestants were rewarded with MMTC-PAMP’s Banyan Tree 999.9 purity 10 gm silver bar.

It conducted the challenge from noon to 8 pm on Thursday. And the contest will continue till Saturday, the auspicious day – Akshaya Tritiya. The contest was held simultaneously in Hyderabad too, Kashish Vashista said.
The Gold Bar Challenge was an open event, where participants attempted to remove a 5.7-kilogram gold bar from a glass enclosure within the designated time limit. Twelve winners were presented with MMTC-PAMP’s Banyan Tree 999.9 purity 10 gm silver bar, depicting India’s national tree and symbolizing longevity and fulfillment. This opportunity was available for gold enthusiasts who wanted to showcase their skills and win a coveted prize while following rules and regulations for safety and fairness, Kashish Vashista added.
