Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday released the BJP’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Titled ‘Modi’s Guarantee 2024’, the manifesto focuses on women empowerment, uplift of youth and the poor. It also promises to promote Tamil. The day coincides with the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar, a towering leader from the Dalit community and an architect of the Indian Constitution.
Modi ki Gyaranatee now targets GYAN – which are schemes for the ‘Gareeb’ (poor), ‘Yuva’ (youth), ‘Annadaata’ (farmers), and ‘Nari’ (women). It also focuses on making India prosperous, strengthening its international relations, and fostering the development of the country’s heritage, among others.
In this Sankalp Patra, a lot of emphasis has been laid on both quantity of opportunities and quality of opportunities.

Speaking after the unveiling of the manifesto, PM Modi said that the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ empowers “all the four strong pillars of developed India – youth, women, poor and farmers”.
“The entire country waits for the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’. There is a big reason behind it as in the last 10 years, the BJP has implemented every point of its manifesto as a guarantee on the ground,” he added.
“The biggest concern of the elderlies is how they will afford treatment for their ailments. This concern is even more serious for the middle class. BJP has now taken the ‘sankalp’ that every individual above 75 years of age will be brought within the purview of Ayushman Bharat Yojana,” PM Modi said.
He further stated that the ‘Modi’s Guarantee 2024’ is that the free ration scheme continues for the next five years, and that cheap medicines remain available for purchase under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
The Prime Minister said that the BJP manifesto pledges to make 3 crore houses, work towards cheap pipeline gas availability for all households, and making electricity bills zero.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who headed the manifesto coordination committee, said the BJP has earned credibility among people by fulfilling its commitments, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees are seen as pure as 24-carat gold.
Singh said the BJP’s manifesto is seen as the gold standard in the world politics.
He cited a host of development measures taken by the central government besides the enactment of women’s reservation law, repeal of Article 370 and the construction of the Ram temple to assert that the ruling party has fulfilled its promises.
“Work has been done to connect 60,000 new villages with pucca roads and all-weather roads have been built. We had never imagined that villages would be empowered, or optical fibre would reach villages, too. But today, I am happy that under your leadership, 1.2 lakh panchayats have been connected with optical fibre and they have also been connected with internet facilities… 25 crore people of India’s population have now risen above the poverty line. According to the International Monetary Fund, extreme poverty in India has now reduced to less than 1 per cent…,” JP Nadda said on the occasion.
Other senior leaders were present at the party headquarters in New Delhi.

Modi’s guarantee include

- Raising loan limit under ‘Mudra’ scheme to Rs 20 lakh from Rs 10 lakh The 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda in 2025 will be celebrated at the national level. Digital Janjatiya Kala Academy to be established
- Implementing the “one nation, one poll” initiative and preparing common electoral rolls.
- The Uniform Civil Code for the country’s interest.
- Expansion of 5G networks and work on 6G.

Virudhunagar Lok Sabha BJP candidate and Tamil cine star Radhika Sarathkumar and her hubby Supreme Star Sarathkumar will address a public meeting near Jain mandir, Hatkeshwar Circle, Ahmedabad on April 21, Sunday, at 6 pm.
