In order to address the growing aspirations of NCC cadets to “Join Indian Army”, Army Recruitment Office conducted a motivational talk on “Joining the Indian Army” at Gujarat NCC Headquarters, Law Garden, Ahmedabad on Saturday. The event was organized to encourage cadets for career in the Indian Armed Forces, particularly the Indian Army. Over 322 NCC cadets from Senior and Junior Division participated with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, a Defence release said.

In his address, the speaker emphasized the honor and pride associated with serving in the Indian Army. He highlighted how the Army is not just a profession but a way of life – one rooted in the core values of duty, loyalty, integrity, and courage. The talk focused on the transformational journey of a soldier, from a youth full of energy to a leader of men, a protector of the nation, and an inspiration for society. Special attention was given to the various entry pathways into the Indian Army for NCC cadets. The speaker encouraged cadets to make full use of this opportunity and take pride in the fact that their NCC training already gives them an edge in physical fitness, leadership, and discipline.

The event also featured a Q&A session, where cadets asked questions ranging from the life in Army, preparation and how to join. The speaker responded with insight and sincerity, offering practical advice as well as motivational stories from real-life military experiences. A short documentary on the Indian Army was also screened during the program, showcasing the life in Army, the camaraderie within regiments, and the diverse operational challenges the Army undertakes.
The event concluded with a rousing rendition of the ‘Jai Hind’ and a collective NCC pledge to continue serving the country with commitment. Cadets left the venue visibly inspired, with many expressing their determination to join the Indian Army and serve the nation with uprightness.

NCC cadets undergo 13-day training at Air Force Academy
Air Force Academy (AFA) conducted a training camp for the cadets of National Cadets Corps (NCC) Air Wing from June 15 to 27 with 50 cadets of Senior Division and Senior Wing, including 17 girl cadets from various NCC Directorates across -India participating in the camp. The event was coordinated by 2 (T) Air Squadron (Tech) NCC, Secunderabad Group.
During the camp, the cadets participated in a variety of training activities and gained insight into the Indian Air Force’s ground-level operations through visits to different sections of the Academy. Exposure to the Pilatus PC-7 flying simulator was one of the main attractions.
Classes on Service Selection Board (SSB), First Aid, Aero-Dynamics & Navigation were also conducted. NCC significantly shapes the lives of the youth by instilling strong values and discipline from an early stage. The exposure to both Flying and Ground Training at Air Force Academy would inspire the cadets to pursue a career in the Armed Forces and to serve the nation.
