A 260-metre pre-stressed concrete bridge was completed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project above the under-construction National Expressway in Gujarat.

“A 260 m long PSC bridge over National Expressway- 4 near Kosamba, Surat district is completed on 22nd February 2025 for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project,” the National High Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRC) said on Monday.

This is the fifth PSC bridge for the project
“The project is crossing over National Expressway- 4 between Delhi & Mumbai (passing through Rajasthan & Gujarat) near Kosamba at Surat district, Gujarat through elevated viaduct. This is the fifth PSC bridge for the project. The bridge features 104 precast segments with four spans of configuration 50m + 80m + 80m + 50m and was built using the Balanced Cantilever Method, which is ideal for larger spans,” the release added.
The newly completed bridge is located in between Surat and Bharuch Bullet Train stations.
National Expressway-4 is under construction Expressway between Delhi & Mumbai. The construction was meticulously planned to ensure the safety of both vehicles and workers while maintaining uninterrupted traffic flow and minimizing public inconvenience.
