A captivating exhibition of abstract paintings by the talented artist Bharati Shah, titled “My Mind Speaks,” was inaugurated on Tuesday at Amdavadni Gufa, Kasturbhai Lalbhai Campus, Opp Gujarat University Campus, CEPT Campus, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad.
This exhibition marks a significant return for Bharati Shah, a Mumbai native who has called Ahmedabad home for the past 30 years. After a four-year hiatus, she is once again showcasing her art in Ahmedabad.
The exhibition features 45 stunning paintings, created in acrylic on Italian linen, in various sizes. Bharati Shah, known for her cubist approach, has skillfully used rectangles, squares, and a single distinctive circle in her abstract works. Her art has a magnetic quality, often captivating viewers at first glance.
Speaking about the exhibition, Bharati Shah shared, “My artwork is a reflection of my thoughts, which is why I chose to name this exhibition ‘My Mind Speaks.’ It is a great honor to showcase my creations in my own city after four years. These pieces are particularly special for Ahmedabad’s art lovers. While I have previously focused on smaller-scale paintings, this time, viewers will have the opportunity to see larger works.”
Advocate-turned-artist Bharati Shah believes in pursuing what one loves and giving their best to it. After Ahmedabad, her works will be displayed at The Other Art Fair in Sydney, Australia. Following that, her art will also be exhibited at The Affordable Art Fair in Singapore in November.
