A corruption-free society begins with a collective commitment to do what is right — and NABARD’s Telangana Regional Office took that message to the streets of Hyderabad on Friday, turning a walkathon into a public call for integrity, transparency and accountability.

  • ‘Probity for Prosperity’ drives Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 campaign
  • Walkathon puts integrity, transparency and collective responsibility in the public spotlight
  • Integrity pledge, employee competitions and e-pledge outreach reinforce ethical conduct
  • District-level Gram Sabhas take the message of corruption-free governance to rural communities

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Telangana Regional Office, organised the Walkathon on Friday, October 30, as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, being observed from October 26 to November 1 under the theme “Probity for Prosperity”.

Staff members walked with placards carrying messages that underscored the importance of integrity and collective responsibility in building a society free from corruption. The initiative was part of a wider vigilance awareness campaign aimed at embedding ethical values in institutional functioning and everyday life.

The campaign also featured the administration of the Integrity Pledge to staff members, while employees and stakeholders were encouraged to take the e-Integrity Pledge. Quiz and slogan-writing competitions were organised to sensitise employees to the importance of vigilance and integrity in their daily responsibilities.

Taking the campaign beyond the workplace, NABARD is also organising awareness Gram Sabhas at the district level to reach rural communities with the message of transparency and probity.

Through these initiatives, NABARD has reiterated its commitment to ethical conduct, preventive vigilance and transparent institutional practices. The campaign seeks to make integrity a shared responsibility among employees, stakeholders and citizens — recognising that strong institutions and a prosperous nation rest on public trust and accountability.
