Senior Communist leader R. Nallakkannu is the human face of Marxism, said Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam President M.K. Stalin here on Thursday.
Participating at the birthday celebrations of the Communist Party of India leader Nallakkannu, the DMK leader lauded his straightforwardness and simplicity in public life on his 95th birthday at Balan Illam in T. Nagar in Chennai.
The birthday celebrations were attended by CPI Senior leader T. Pandian, and leaders of various political parties.
Nallakkannu’s birthday coincides with the 95th formation day of CPI, said Stalin.
While greeting Nallakkannu, the opposition leader Stalin said that the anti-CAA protest would continue after the local body elections slated to be held on Friday and Tuesday (December 30).
Senior leaders T.K. Rangarajan and others took part in the celebrations. Leaders of various political parties expressed their wishes to Nallakkannu over phone or through social media.
