“On International Women’s Day, I extend my greetings to all our Nari Shakti. Across every field, women are shaping India’s progress with determination, creativity and unmatched zeal. Their achievements inspire our nation and strengthen our collective resolve to build a Viksit Bharat,” the Prime Minister said in a series of posts on X.

Highlighting the government’s focus on women-led development, Modi said several flagship schemes and initiatives have been designed with women’s empowerment at their core.

“Empowerment of women is at the core of our various schemes and initiatives. We remain committed to creating opportunities that enable every woman to realise her full potential and contribute to India’s journey of development,” he added.

The Prime Minister also shared glimpses of how grassroots initiatives over the past decade have helped transform the lives of women, enabling them to become leaders in entrepreneurship, governance and community development.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings to women, emphasising their indispensable role in shaping society and national progress.

“Warm greetings to our Nari Shakti on International Women’s Day. Humankind is indebted to the peerless role Nari Shakti plays in society,” Shah said.

He noted that women contribute across every sphere of life—from nurturing families to advancing science and economic growth.

“Nurturing generations and driving scientific and economic progress, they contribute to every aspect of our lives. This deep gratitude drives Modi Ji’s vision of women-led development, where women are no longer just witnesses to progress but the changemakers who pave our journey to greatness,” he said.

Women Power Driving India’s Development

Leaders across the country echoed similar sentiments, highlighting how women are increasingly shaping India’s future in education, entrepreneurship, science, governance and social leadership.

From self-help groups in rural India to women entrepreneurs and innovators in urban centres, the expanding role of women in the economy and society reflects a broader shift toward inclusive development.

Government initiatives aimed at financial inclusion, education, health and entrepreneurship have helped strengthen women’s participation in national growth.

Vision for the Next Decade

Political leaders emphasised that ensuring equal opportunities, safety and dignity for women will remain a priority in the coming years as India advances toward its long-term development goals.

They also called upon citizens to continue supporting women’s education, leadership and economic empowerment to create a more equitable and prosperous society.

As India celebrated International Women’s Day, the message from national and state leadership was clear: the rise of Nari Shakti is inseparable from the rise of the nation itself.
