Modi said Bharati’s verses “ignited courage” and his powerful thoughts “left a lasting impression on the minds of countless people”. He added that Bharati worked tirelessly to build a just and inclusive society, and that his contribution to Tamil literature remains unmatched.

He also posted in Tamil:
“மகாகவி சுப்ரமணிய பாரதியின் பிறந்தநாளில் அவருக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்துகிறேன். அவரது கவிதைகள் துணிவைத் தூண்டின, அவரது சிந்தனைகள் எண்ணற்ற மக்களின் மனதில் நீடித்த தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தும் ஆற்றலைக் கொண்டிருந்தன. இந்தியாவின் கலாச்சார, தேசிய உணர்வை அவர் ஒளிரச் செய்தார். நீதியான, அனைவரையும் உள்ளடக்கிய ஒரு சமூகத்தை உருவாக்க அவர் பாடுபட்டார். தமிழ் இலக்கியத்தை செழுமைப்படுத்துவதில் அவர் ஆற்றிய பங்களிப்புகளும் ஒப்பிலாதவை.”

Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan offered floral tributes to Bharati at the Vice-President’s Enclave.
In his message, he said Bharati—“a fearless nationalist, visionary social reformer, and revolutionary poet”—awakened the nation’s conscience through stirring verses rooted in patriotism, equality and human dignity.
He added that Bharati’s ideals continue to inspire generations.
Union Home Minister recalls Bharati’s revolutionary spirit
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah paid obeisance to Subramania Bharati, calling him “the architect of modern Tamil literature”.
