NEW DELHI/CHENNAI, JULY 22

Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 70,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits on Saturday via video conferencing. The Rozgar Mela was held simultaneously at 44 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place in collaboration with Central Government Departments as well as State Governments and Union Territories.

Addressing the appointees on the occasion, PM Modi said that the people of this country have taken the resolution to make India a developed country. “During the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, when the country is working on the path of development, it is a great honour to get the opportunity to work as a government employee. The people of this country have taken the resolution to make India a developed country. The next 25 years are very important for India,” said PM Modi.

The Prime Minister said, “India became the world’s fifth largest economy climbing up from the 10th spot in just nine years. Today, experts say that India will be among the top three economies of the world in the next few years. This will be the country’s extraordinary achievement,” says PM Modi while addressing Rozgar Mela.

“We have to make full use of global trust, attraction for India,” he added.

The new recruits, hailing from various parts of the country, will be joining the Government in several ministries and departments such as Revenue, Financial Services, Posts, School Education, Higher Education, Defence, Health and Family Welfare, Central Public Sector Undertakings,  Water resources, Personnel & Training, Home Affairs, among others.

“The Rozgar Mela is a step towards the fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord the highest priority to employment generation,” the PMO said in a statement. The Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.

The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 580 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.
