The National Photography Festival, which will begin in Ahmedabad on Thursday, April 6, covering various aspects of photography, including photographs by the country’s top photographers is being held in Gujarat for the first time.
This festival which is being organised by Navajivan Trust and other supporting organizations will begin on Thursday- 6th April, 2023- will end on Sunday, 9th April, 2023 at Navajivan Trust Campus on Ashram Road. The Festival will be free and open to the public from 11 am to 9 pm.
Giving information about the festival, Vivek Desai, Managing Trustee, Navajivan Trust, said, “The National Photography Festival has been organized for the first time in Gujarat by Navjeevan Trust and other supporting organisations. It includes photography exhibitions, portfolio exhibitions of renowned photographers of the country. Apart from this, street and travel photography workshops and creative nature photography workshops have also been organised in this festival. There will be a photo contest with rewards of Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 for the top three photographers and the award function will be held on Sunday.
Vivek Desai said that photography exhibitions of top photographers like Shahidul Alam, Suchi Kapoor and Natasha Raheja, Anushree Fadnavis, Prashant Panjiar, Sudharak Olve, Amit Dave, Dhritiman Mukherjee and Varun Aditya will be displayed in this festival.
Apart from this, portfolio exhibitions of photographers like Shivang Mehta, Indrajit Khambe, Manish Lakhani, Aneri Nihalani, Lopamudra Talukdar and Jayesh Joshi will also be an attractive aspect of the festival.
Street and Travel Photography Workshop by Lopamudra Talukdar will be held on 7th and 8th April 2023 while a Creative Nature Photography Workshop by Saurabh Desai will also be organised on April 8-9, Desai added.
Vivek Desai further stated that during this Festival, the interactive sessions of Photographers have also been planned. Photography fans will benefit from the knowledge and experience of these experts.
