INS Valsura conducted the Beating Retreat and Sunset Ceremony as a part of Navy Week celebrations 2022 in Jamnagar on Sunday.

‘Beating Retreat’ marks a centuries old military tradition, when the troops ceased fighting, sheathed their arms and withdrew from the battlefield and returned to their camps at sunset at the sounding of the retreat.
In addition to soul touching performances played by the Naval Band, Continuity Drill, PT and Mashaal display also formed part of the evening events. Various tunes such as Vande Mataram, Jai Bharati, Sare Jahan se Achcha, etc played by the Naval Band enthralled the audience.
The spectacular Continuity Drill and the physical training acrobats demonstrated by the officer and sailor trainees of the unit left the audience spell bound.
Several eminent dignitaries from Jamnagar and uniformed personnel from the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Air Force witnessed the event.
