#EkMaiSauKeLiye is a campaign started by the NCC Directorate Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli. A brainchild of Major General Arvind Kapoor, Additional Director General, NCC, the concept is based on the premise, that in the present circumstances, when it is best advisable for the NCC cadets to stay at home, there is also a requirement for them to come forward as responsible and disciplined citizens of the Nation and meet their social obligations towards the society they live in.
In the first part of the campaign, which commenced on May 3, each NCC cadet of the Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli Directorate connected, over their mobile phones, with a hundred relatives and friends and acquaintances and spread awareness about Covid Appropriate Behaviour and the importance of vaccination, simultaneously giving moral and emotional support with a human-to-human touch.

As part of the Campaign, these NCC cadets went through a process of deep emotional connect, on which they made short videos of their mobile phone conversations and also posted some relevant experiences. This part of the campaign received tremendous response and has further motivated the cadets to carry on the campaign with more vigour, the release added.
In the second part of the #EkMaiSauKeLiye Campaign, NCC cadets of the Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli Directorate have now started connecting on their mobile phones with residents of old age homes. The aim of this connect is to instill a feeling of deep love and regard for the elders at the old age homes, as also to keep their spirits high and show them that “we care” . The overall aim is a final feel-good factor at both ends, namely, the residents of the old age homes as well as the NCC cadets.
There is a lot of excitement amongst these cadets and because of this, new and more enriching ideas of connecting with society at large, and spreading the important social messages of Covid Appropriate Behaviour, the importance of taking vaccination and connecting with people with a human-to-human touch will continue to happen amongst the cadets of the NCC Directorate Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
