AHMEDABAD, APRIL 14
The NCC Directorate Gujarat on Tuesday announced that it has deployed a total of 03 Officers, 500 cadets, 35 ANOs and 60 Permanent Instructors of NCC at various places of Gujarat under NCC Exercise Yogdan. They have been supporting the Civil Administration towards its fight against COVID-19, a Defence release said.
In Jamnagar, 67 volunteer cadets of 8 Guj Naval unit and 27 Guj Bn along with 08 ANOs, including 3 lady ANOs and 11 Permanent Instructors were deployed across the city at 18 locations for traffic management in assistance with the police. Some of these locations of deployment were Samarpan Circle, DKV Circle, Amber Chowkdi, Amusement park, Saat Rasta Circle, Digjam Circle, and Khambaliagate. The cadets were seen educating the people on the various precautions to be taken against COVID -19.
In Nadiad. 83 volunteer cadets, 03 Permanent Instructors, and 06 ANOs were deployed at Nadiad, Vaso, Mehadabad for assisting the Civil Administration. The cadets have been actively involved in traffic control, queue management at banks and ATMs and also for food distribution at various locations.
In Palanpur, 86 Volunteer cadets, 11 ANO and 06 Permanent Instructors of 35 Gujarat Bn were deployed under Col Amit Purty at 15 locations in the city. The Cadets enthusiastically assisted the local administration in queue management in PDS shops and traffic management.
In Navsari, 12 volunteer cadets, 01 ANO and 02 permanent Instructors of 20 Gujarat Bn of Vadodara group were deployed in support of police at Navsari town. The cadets were deployed at Antalya Chowk, Das Hosp Circle, and Amalsad Naka. Cadets were also noticed helping in food distribution. These Cadets have been deployed from Sunday onwards.

In Junagadh, 52 volunteer Cadets, 05 ANOs and 05 Permanent Instructors of 8 Guj Bn were deployed at Junagadh, Keshod and Mangrol towns. All the cadets were actively involved in supporting police in traffic control and providing assistance to senior citizens.

In addition to the above locations, NCC cadets were also deployed at Gandhidham, Bhuj, Porbandar, Anand, Himmatnagar, and Gandhinagar, the release added.

લડાઇમાં સ્વેચ્છાએ સહકાર આપવાની કામગીરી ચાલુ રાખી NCC યોગદાન કવાયતના ભાગરૂપે, ગુજરાતના NCC ડાયરેક્ટોરેટ દ્વારા કોવિડ-19 સામેની લડાઇમાં નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રને વધુને વધુ સ્થળોએ સહકાર આપવા માટે સ્વયંસેવકો નિયુક્ત કરવાના પ્રયાસો સતત ચાલી રહ્યા છે. અત્યાર સુધીમાં, NCCના કુલ 03 અધિકારી, 500 કેડેટ્સ, 35 ANO અને 60 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરની ગુજરાતમાં વિવિધ સ્થળે નિયુક્તિ કરવામાં આવી છે.
જામનગર: 8 ગુજરાત નૌસેના યુનિટ અને 27 ગુજરાત બટાલિયનના 67 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ તેમજ 03 મહિલા ANO સહિત 04 ANO અને 11 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને સમગ્ર શહેરમાં 18 સ્થળે ટ્રાફિક સંચાલનમાં પોલીસની મદદ કરવા માટે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. કેડેટ્સની નિયુક્તિના કેટલાક સ્થળોમાં સમર્પણ સર્કલ, DKV સર્કલ, અંબર ચોકડી, એમ્યુઝમેન્ટ પાર્ક, સાત રસ્તા સર્કલ, દિગ્જામ સર્કલ અને ખંભાળિયા ગેટનો સમાવેશ થાય છે. કેડેટ્સ લોકોને કોવિડ-19નો ફેલાવો રોકવા માટે કેવા પ્રકારે વિવિધ તકેદારી રાખવી જોઇએ તે અંગે પણ જણાવી રહ્યા છે.
નડિયાદ: 83 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 03 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર અને 06 ANOને નડિયાદ, વાસો, મહેમદાવાદ ખાતે નાગરિક વહીવટીતંત્રની મદદ માટે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ કેડેટ્સ ટ્રાફિક સંચાલન, બેંકો અને ATM પર કતાર મેનેજમેન્ટમાં સક્રીયપણે મદદરૂપ થઇ રહ્યા છે અને વિવિધ સ્થળે અન્ન વિતરણ કાર્યોમાં પણ ભાગ લઇ રહ્યા છે. પાલનપુર: 35 ગુજરાત બટાલિયનના 86 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 11 ANO અને 06 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર્સને કર્નલ અમિત પૂર્તિના નેતૃત્વમાં શહેરમાં 15 સ્થળે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. કેડેટ્સ ઉત્સાહભેર સ્થાનિક વહીવટીતંત્રને PDS દુકાનો પર કતાર વ્યવસ્થાપન અને ટ્રાફિક સંચાલનમાં મદદ કરી રહ્યા છે.
નવસારી: 20 ગુજરાત બટાલિયનના વડોદરા ગ્રૂપના 12 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 01 ANO અને 02 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટરને નવસારી ટાઉન પોલીસની મદદ માટે નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ કેડેટ્સને અંટાળિયા ચોક, દાસ હોસ્પિટલ સર્કલ અને અમલાસાદ નાકા પર નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. કેડેટ્સ અન્ન વિતરણની કામગીરીમાં પણ મદદ કરી રહ્યા છે. આ કેડેટ્સ 12 એપ્રિલ 2020થી નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.
જુનાગઢ: 8 ગુજરાત બટાલિયનના 52 સ્વયંસેવક કેડેટ્સ, 05 ANO અને 05 કાયમી ઇન્સ્ટ્રક્ટર્સને જુનાગઢ, કેશોદ અને માંગરોળમાં નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. આ તમામ કેડેટ્સ પોલીસને ટ્રાફિક સંચાલન અને વરિષ્ઠ નાગરિકોને મદદની કામગીરીમાં સક્રીયપણે સહાય કરી રહ્યા છે.
ઉપરોક્ત સ્થળો ઉપરાંત, ગાંધીધામ, ભૂજ, પોરબંદર, આણંદ, હિંમતનગર અને ગાંધીનગર ખાતે પણ NCCના કેડેટ્સને નિયુક્ત કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.
