To make the youngsters aware of the major issues concerning the precautions, preventions, and measures to survive from various types of cancers, a cancer awareness webinar was organised on Saturday, a release said.
It was organised by the NCC Group HQ Rajkot in association with the Cancer Care India and Shri Batukbhai Khanderia Charitable Trust Health and Education and coordinated by 8 Gujarat Battalion NCC, Junagadh.
The initiative was taken by Brigadier S N Tiwari, Group Commander, NCC Group HQ, Rajkot. In his opening address, he stressed the importance of cancer awareness among youths.
The group of panelists included Dr Alpesh Gandhi, FOGSI; Sudha Murgai, President of Cancer Care India alongwith Dr Kalpana, Obeisity and Gynaecology Consultant and Dr Smita Shah, Professor of B J Medical College, who elucidated on “Early Cancer Diagnosis and Screening.”
The participants included 160 NCC Cadets and 8 Associated NCC officers.
The cadets keenly interacted with the experts. The webinar proved very educative, informative and an enlightening experience for the participants.
