The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 commenced on December 30, 2025, at the Cariappa Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt, with the traditional Sarv Dharm Pooja, symbolising unity, harmony and the spirit of national integration.

The month-long prestigious camp will feature a wide range of inter-directorate competitions and ceremonial events, including the Best Cadet Competition, Small Arms Firing, participation in the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, and Flag Area Designing, showcasing the discipline, skill and leadership of NCC cadets.

Highest-Ever Participation Reflects Growing Youth Engagement
A record 2,406 cadets, including 898 girl cadets, drawn from 28 states and 8 Union Territories, are participating in this year’s camp — the highest participation to date. In addition, cadets and officers from 25 Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs) will also join the celebrations under the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP), adding an international dimension to the event.
Call for Character, Integrity and Team Spirit
Addressing the cadets at the inaugural ceremony, Lieutenant General Virendra Vats, Director General NCC, welcomed them and congratulated them on being selected for the prestigious Republic Day Camp.
He urged the cadets “to display the highest qualities of character, integrity, selfless service, comradeship and teamwork transcending barriers of religion, language, and caste in the true spirit of ‘Nation First.’”
Nurturing Leadership Through Unity and Discipline
Upholding its motto ‘Unity and Discipline’, the Republic Day Camp brings together NCC cadets from across the country and provides a platform for rigorous training, cultural exchange and leadership development. The camp aims to instil a deep sense of patriotism, discipline and national pride, while preparing cadets to emerge as responsible citizens and future leaders.
The commencement of RDC 2026 reaffirms the NCC’s role in shaping youth through values of unity, service and dedication to the nation.
