Union Minister of State and Bhavnagar MP Nimuben Bambhaniya hosted a New Year get-together (Snehamilan) at her public contact office Shiva Blessing, Vaghawadi Road, to mark the beginning of the new Vikram Samvat 2082 year. The event witnessed the presence of local leaders, corporators, party workers, industrialists, and citizens who extended New Year greetings.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Nimuben Bambhaniya announced that Bhavnagar is likely to soon get both Vande Bharat Express and IndiGo air connectivity, fulfilling long-standing local demands. She also pledged to establish Grain ATMs across all parliamentary constituencies in Gujarat, ensuring round-the-clock access to ration supplies.
“Bhavnagar’s Grain ATM is already a role model for Gujarat. People can collect ration anytime—even at midnight—without standing in queues. We aim to expand this facility to every constituency in the state,” the Minister said.
Commitment to ‘Vocal for Local’ and Holistic Development
Extending heartfelt New Year greetings to the people of Bhavnagar and Botad districts, the Minister invoked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Vocal for Local’, urging citizens to embrace Swadeshi products and contribute to national self-reliance.
“Our collective effort is to give greater momentum to the Prime Minister’s appeal and ensure inclusive, sustainable development in Bhavnagar and Botad,” she said.
Connectivity Boost for Bhavnagar Region
Sharing details of ongoing infrastructure initiatives, Nimuben Bambhaniya said that a survey for the Bhavnagar–Dholera railway line has already begun, and the Bhavnagar–Ayodhya route has been approved by the Railway Ministry.
“We are actively pursuing the launch of the Vande Bharat Express between Bhavnagar and Surat—a key public demand. Similarly, steps are being taken to introduce IndiGo air services to enhance Bhavnagar’s connectivity,” she added.
The event was attended by State Agriculture Minister Jitubhai Vaghani, City BJP President Kumar Shah, former MLA Sejalben Pandya, Standing Committee Chairman Rajubhai Rabadiya, senior party functionaries, business leaders, and hundreds of residents who extended festive greetings.
The gathering reflected Bhavnagar’s growing aspiration for modern infrastructure, digital governance, and local empowerment, resonating with the Centre’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
