This Makar Sankranti, Ahmedabad’s Riverfront became the place to be as Nick India partnered with Gujarat Tourism’s prestigious International Kite Festival, bringing together the joy of traditions and the energy of Nicktoons, giving families a fun way to celebrate the season. With the skies painted in bright colors, the festival offered children a unique opportunity to fly kites with their favorite Nicktoons, Chikoo and Bunty, adding a fun twist to the traditional celebration.

Participation by Nick India, along with their beloved Nicktoons Chikoo Bunty, has brought an exciting dimension to this year’s festival, engaging children and families like never before: Gujarat Tourism-NE photo

With massive energy filling the Riverfront, children, along with the beloved Nicktoon duo Chikoo and Bunty, flew specially designed Nick-themed kites, painting the sky with bright orange and white. Kids treated the lovable duo like real-life friends, chatting with them, sharing kite-flying tips, and posing for pictures. They also eagerly cheered for Chikoo and Bunty’s kites to win. With over 50,000 attendees, the event was a visual spectacle, as the colorful kites soared against the backdrop of a clear blue sky. This experience perfectly embodied the spirit of Makar Sankranti, celebrating love, community and culture.

An official from Gujarat Tourism said, “The International Kite Festival is a celebration of Gujarat’s cultural heritage. Participation by Nick India, along with their beloved Nicktoons Chikoo Bunty, has brought an exciting dimension to this year’s festival, engaging children and families like never before. We look forward to many more such collaborations that bring smiles, spread the festive spirit, and create unforgettable memories for all.”

The collaboration brought an extra layer of excitement to the International Kite Festival, which has become an iconic event in the city. By participating in Gujarat’s globally renowned International Kite Festival alongside Gujarat Tourism, Nick India has demonstrated its commitment to creating impactful cultural connections and delivering joy-filled experiences that children cherish.
