GURUGRAM, DEC 19
Nissan is accelerating toward a resurgent 2026 in India with the official tease of GRAVITE, its all-new seven-seater B-MPV and the first model under the company’s refreshed and strategically curated product line-up for the country. Scheduled for launch in early 2026, the GRAVITE marks a defining milestone in Nissan Motor India’s transformation journey and signals a bold new chapter for the brand.
Purpose-Built for Indian Families
Engineered for modern, value-conscious households, the GRAVITE blends exceptional versatility with thoughtful modularity. Inspired by 1.4 billion Indians, the MPV is crafted to meet evolving family needs—whether for daily urban commutes or extended, multi-generation road trips—while reinforcing Nissan’s commitment to customer-centric design.
A Clear Product Roadmap, A Confident Momentum
First announced in July 2024 as the second model under Nissan’s ambitious India product offensive, the GRAVITE underscores the brand’s forward momentum. The roadmap includes the GRAVITE in early 2026, followed by the Tekton in mid-2026, and a seven-seater C-SUV in early 2027, reaffirming Nissan’s deep, long-term commitment to the Indian market.
GRAVITE: A Name That Anchors Confidence
The name GRAVITE draws from the word gravity, symbolising balance, stability, and powerful attraction. It reflects Nissan’s vision of vehicles that anchor families in comfort, superior versatility, and seamless connectivity—making GRAVITE a natural fit for India’s aspirational and diverse lifestyles shaped by thousands of traditions and rituals.
Interior Excellence: Modularity Meets Comfort
Inside, the GRAVITE redefines family travel with generous cabin room, class-leading storage innovations, and ultra-modular seating that adapts effortlessly to changing passenger and cargo needs. Smart space utilisation ensures stress-free everyday driving and long-distance journeys alike.
Bold Design With Global Nissan DNA
The All-New GRAVITE establishes a strong visual identity aligned with Nissan’s global design language. Its signature C-shaped front fascia grille delivers instant brand recognition and a commanding on-road presence. Sleek horizontal proportions and a confident, muscular stance combine modern elegance with everyday usability.
The MPV is also the only vehicle in its segment to feature distinctive hood branding and unique rear-door badging, amplifying its exclusive character. The rear fascia mirrors Nissan’s C-shaped interlock theme, ensuring unmistakable presence from every angle.
Made in Chennai, Made for India
Set for its grand debut in early 2026, the All-New GRAVITE will be manufactured locally in Chennai at Renault’s facility. This underscores Nissan Motor India’s focus on local production to deliver products precisely tuned to Indian customer expectations, while strengthening India’s role as a strategic manufacturing hub.
Leadership Speaks
Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson, Nissan AMIEO, said, “India continues to be a strong contributor to AMIEO’s performance, and Nissan Motor India plays a pivotal role in our strategy. Over FY25, we have strengthened our business operations, expanded our portfolio, and delivered on every promise made under our 2024 product offensive. The upcoming line-up—shaped by global insights yet deeply attuned to the needs of Indian customers—reflects our commitment to this dynamic market. With new models developed in and for India, and exports to several international markets, India remains both a growth driver and a strategic hub for Nissan Alliance. The reveal of the GRAVITE demonstrates our continued momentum and reinforces our confidence in the road ahead.”
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, stated, “The All-New GRAVITE is a testament to Nissan Motor India’s renewed focus on the evolving Indian market. Deeply rooted in the fabric of the country, it is designed to be the perfect companion for the diverse needs of our customers. As the second model in our all-new product line-up, the GRAVITE marks a pivotal step in our transformation journey and reinforces our commitment to delivering vehicles that resonate with the aspirations of Indian consumers.”
Network Expansion and Global Footprint
To support its growth ambitions, Nissan is fast-tracking the expansion of its dealer network across Tier I and Tier II cities, enhancing accessibility and customer experience nationwide.
Building on this momentum, the Nissan Magnite continues to elevate the brand’s global footprint as one of its most successful Made-in-India models, now exported to 65 markets across South Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Further strengthening its future-ready roadmap, Nissan revealed the Tekton in October 2025—its upcoming premium SUV—signalling a robust, multi-segment offensive that complements the introduction of the GRAVITE and sets the tone for Nissan’s next phase of growth in India.
