Amid fears of novel coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak in various parts of the world, the show organizer Messe Muenchen India, on Thursday clarified that Indian Ceramics Asia 2020 is a ‘safe place’. The recent visit of United States President Donald Trump to Ahmedabad is reassurance that India and especially Gujarat is safe from the novel coronavirus , says a company release.
Accordingly, the Indian Ceramics Asia is scheduled from March 3 to 5 at the Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The virus outbreak has given birth to numerous rumours although the Government of India has made no formal announcement or declaration. There are only three registered cases of coronavirus in India, on is cured and the other two are stable.
As per Business Today Magazine, “The novel coronavirus becomes increasingly ineffective with a rise in temperature and is more effective in lower temperatures. As temperatures start to rise in India due to the onset of the summer, the country is likely to be relatively safer from the deadly grip of the virus.”
Despite this, the Government of India is taking various preventative measures such as screening of every passenger entering the country for fever and other symptoms of the virus. Any passengers that have travelled to China after January 15, 2020 are in quarantine and now the government is refraining to grant a visa to international passengers. Chinese citizens are barred from entering Indian territories due to the imminent threat. The Italian government as well is restricting its citizens to travel internationally.
The government is taking intense preventative measures within the country to ensure that the citizens are safe. There is no formal or legal announcement by the government to avoid or prohibit public gatherings such as exhibitions and trade fair.
