Gujarat all set to get a new Director-General of Police on August 1, as Shivanand Jha’s extended term ends on July 31.
The state government has recommended three names of senior officers for the post to the Centre to select the new DGP.
Shivanand Jha, a 1983-batch Gujarat Cadre IPS Officer was given three months extension from May 1, as he was supposed to retire on April 30, sources said.
