The Indian Ceramics Asia 2020 will be held as per the schedule – from March 3 – 5, 2020 – at The Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar in Gujarat, says a release by the organisers Messe Muenchen India and Unifair Exhibition Service Company Limited on Sunday.
“Given the uncertainty spurred due to the current outbreak of respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus in various parts of China, we reiterate that the trade fair will be organized as per plan on the original dates and venue,” the release added.
The organizers have clarified that “As Indian Ceramics Asia has been closely working with Chinese delegates and brands for years now, it is extremely unfortunate that our Chinese exhibitors will not be participating in the upcoming edition. However, it is our obligation to support our Indian and international exhibitors by organizing the trade fair on the announced dates. There are no travel or trade restrictions, besides China, hence we are looking forward to welcoming the ceramic world to India.”

To allay the fears of visitors both from abroad and domestic, the organisers have taken elaborate precautions.
“To ensure a safe and clean exhibiting experience, Messe Muenchen India has been taking all necessary precautions and is well-equipped in case of any risk of an emergency. The organizer has made specific arrangements for onsite doctors and clinic setup, 24-hour ambulance-availability on standby during setup and show days, extremely hygienic environment and efficient cleaning services, constant water supply and adequate supply of face masks and hand sanitizers onsite,” the organisers said.
Indian Ceramics Asia brings the best of raw materials, ancillary equipment, ceramic machinery, and technology suppliers from India and various other countries to be at the Indian hub of ceramics and brick industry. The trade fair also aims to maximize the reach of exhibitors and enable them to get a strong foothold in the Indian ceramic market and beyond.
