Guruji Arjunbhai Desai of Shri Sadhim Mandir, Rangpur Dham on Friday inaugurated a state-of-the-art and air-conditioned shelter that can accommodate 600 animals at Shri Viramgam Khodadhor Panjrapol Sanstha. Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibhaben Jain dedicated two animal ambulances to take care of animals in distress in the city.

Shelter for 600 animals in the lap of Mother Nature
Speaking with the media, Dr. Girish Shah, Managing Trustee, Samast Mahajan, and Member of Animal Welfare Board of India,said, “A state-of-the-art and air-conditioned shelter that can accommodate 600 animals, built with a donation of Rs. 1 crore, was inaugurated by Guruji Arjunbhai Desai on Friday at Shri Viramgam Khodadhor Panjrapol Sanstha. This has come up on 1,200 acres of land. The ponds in this land have been deepened and a system has been created for the systematic storage of rainwater. So that there is no shortage of drinking and using water for feral animals throughout the year. Further, it is growing natural grass, planted more than 5,000 indigenous trees and providing shelter to 2,300 feral animals. All these help the animal shelter to be environment-friendly and self -sustained.”

Cabinet Minister Kunwarji Bavaliya and the special guest MLA of Viramgam Hardikbhai Patel, former MP Somabhai Patel, Taluka Panchayat President Janakbhai Patel, Mital Khetani, as well as the trustees of Shri Viramgam Khoda Dhor Panjarapol Sanstha and the team were present at this event.

Ahmedabad Mayor Pratibhaben Jain on Friday dedicated two animal ambulances to take care of animals in distress in the city.

And now, animal lovers in the heritage city of Ahmedabad can just dial the helpline number 91529 90399 to help the animals in distress.
Commenting on this, Dr. Girish Shah said, “With the inspiration of Pujya Gachchadhipati Acharya Bhagwant Rajyashsuri Maharaj Saheb and on the occasion of the auspicious entry of the 76th Saiyam year of Pujya Sadhviji Vachanyama Maharaj Saheb, Dinesh Modi Charitable Trust and L.J. Samast Mahajan, in collaboration with Arogya Kendra, have launched the first ambulance service in Ahmedabad and the 15th in the entire country that will be useful for animals and birds.

This ambulance service is equipped with all the facilities, including a veterinary doctor and paramedical staff, to give on-the-spot service and save the precious lives. These animal ambulances comprise an operation theater, anesthesia, oxygen cylinder, oxygen concentrator, freezer for storing injections and medicines, geyser and fire safety equipment. Citizens can take advantage of this ambulance service from any part of the city by dialling the helpline number 91529 90399. We will increase the number of animal ambulances depending upon the need.”
