The NSDC International Ltd, a subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ganpat University, a pioneer in offering skill development programs, in Gujarat to help prepare a skilled workforce that would meet the evolving demand of industries and employers in India and globally, says a joint release here on Wednesday.
Considering the tide of transformation and a prominent shift in the expectations of the current employment sector, the objective of the MoU is to conceptualise, design and run certificate programs that are aligned to the market requirements. The purpose of this MoU is to carry out joint activities, mainly of international stature. NSDC International and Ganpat University will work together, aiming to cater to the workforce requirements of various industries and sectors across the world.
As part of the MoU, Ganpat University will closely work with NSDC International to enable processes for trainers and assessment. The collaboration will encourage and support entrepreneurship through Ganpat University’s EILM-powered program focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship, and venture development. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate curation and delivery of Training of Trainers (ToT) programs in selected focus areas.

The MoU signing ceremony was held in the august presence of Padmashri Dr Ganpat Patel, Ganpat University’s President and Patron-in-Chief, who virtually joined the event, Ved Mani Tiwari, Chief Operating Officer and Officiating CEO, NSDC, Parul Mahajan, Head – Government Relations and Advocacy, NSDC, Prof (Dr) Mahendra Sharma, Pro-Chancellor & Director General Ganpat University, Dr Amit Patel, Pro Vice-Chancellor & Executive Registrar, Ganpat University, Dr Rajen Purohit, Deputy Pro Vice-Chancellor, Ganpat University and Dr Prakash Patel, Health Skill Development, Ganpat University. The event was also graced by trustees Jayantibhai Patel and Sombhai Rayaka.
Brijesh Merja, Minister of State for Labour, Skill Development and Employment (Independent Charge), Rural Housing and Rural Development, Government of Gujarat, who shared his best wishes for the collaboration through a message, praised the initiative that has the potential to transform unskilled and semi-skilled manpower into productive workforce.
On the occasion, Dr Ganpat Patel, President and Patron-in-Chief, Ganpat University said, “We think out of the box, and for this reason, we strive to create ample opportunities for students and industries, contributing to the cause of the nation’s development. Ganpat University and NSDC International will become great partners in driving meaningful skill development initiatives.”
