Obituary: TNCA condoles the death of former state cricketer D J Gokulakrishnan

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) condoles the untimely demise of former State Cricketer, BCCI Match Referee and Coach D.J. Gokulakrishnan, who died on Wednesday (October 11, 2023).

In a career spanning between 1993 and 2004, Gokulakrishnan played 39 first-class matches, picking up 103 wickets and scored 1116 runs. He also played 45 List A matches picked 71 wickets. A qualified Level 2 Coach he also served as State Teams Assistant Coach in 2008 and 2013, and as bowling Coach in 2010. He was also Tamil Nadu Under-19 Head Coach in 2015.

The TNCA recalls his exemplary services to the game of Cricket in Tamil Nadu. His demise is a huge loss to TNCA and Tamil Nadu Cricket in general.

The TNCA sends its deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members, said R I Palani, Hon Secretary, TNCA.
