The two day Odisha Mahaotsav as a part of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Programme was launched in Surat on Wednesday.
Over one lakh people from Odisha are settled in Surat and other parts of Gujarat.
They will showcase the art, culture, traditions and rich heritage of Odisha in this festival. According to Odisha Samaj sources, most of the Odisha people staying in Surat are from Ganjam district of Odisha.
Recently, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had also attended the cultural event of Odisha Samaj in Surat.
