The Officers Training Academy, Chennai organised a musical band symphony at IIT, Madras on Monday. The musical extravaganza was presented to motivate the youth, generate public awareness and showcase the glorious image of the Indian Army. Musicians of OTA and Officer Cadets under training at OTA enthralled the audience by taking them on a musical ride with a mix of mesmerising martial music and other soulful numbers.

Commandant sought student’s commitment & resolve to contribute & upscale nation’s technical threshold, besides looking for solutions to issues faced by armed forces. In the era of space & cyber, the young minds must contribute to #MakeInIndia by innovation & invention, He said.

Lieutenant General Sanjeev Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, Commandant, Officers Training Academy, graced the occasion along with Prof V Kamakoti Director, IIT Chennai. Officers of OTA, students in large numbers and other dignitaries were present for the hour-long program.
While addressing the gathering, Commandant exhorted the IIT students to contribute to Nation building and develop a positive image of our nation in the world. He further sought student’s commitment and resolve to contribute and upscale nation’s technical threshold besides looking for solutions to various issues being faced by armed forces. He added that in the era of space and cyber, the talented young minds must contribute to ‘Make in India’ initiatives in the form of innovation and invention. In the end, he expressed his gratitude to IIT Madras for having a band symphony of Military musicians in their premises.
