Ola Electric on Tuesday unveiled a bold expansion of its indigenous 4680 Bharat Cell at प्रारंभ 2026, transforming it from a mobility-centric innovation into a comprehensive new-energy platform for India. With this move, the company has opened direct access to its advanced battery technology—allowing businesses and startups to purchase 4680 Bharat Cells or the 1.5kWh 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack for applications spanning automotive, humanoids, drones, and portable medical equipment.

The expansion signals a decisive shift toward platform-led innovation, enabling enterprises to rapidly build, test, and scale next-generation products using energy storage solutions designed, engineered, and manufactured in India.

In parallel, Ola Electric announced that its residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)—Ola शक्ति—is now open for purchase. Deliveries of शक्ति 6kW/9.1kWh will begin by the end of January 2026, while शक्ति 3kW/5.2kWh deliveries are scheduled from mid-February 2026. The company also confirmed the start of deliveries for its flagship electric motorcycle, the Roadster X+ (9.1kWh), offering an impressive range of up to 500 km on a single charge. Additionally, Ola Electric has scaled up PAN-India deliveries of the S1 Pro+ 5.2kWh.
At the core of this expanding ecosystem is the 4680 Bharat Cell—Ola Electric’s in-house energy platform that now powers its two-wheeler portfolio and Ola शक्ति alike. The company’s vision is anchored in a unified approach: one cell, one platform, one portfolio—purpose-built for India. Ola शक्ति is positioned as a transformative solution, redefining how Indians access, control, and consume energy across homes, farms, and small businesses.
Spokesperson, Ola Electric said, “The 4680 Bharat Cell is at the core of our in-house energy and mobility ecosystem, and we are now scaling this platform well beyond consumer vehicles and residential energy. By opening up the 4680 Bharat Cell platform to businesses and startups, we are enabling a wide range of applications, from humanoids and drones to electric vehicles and portable medical machines. Businesses can either purchase the 4680 Bharat Cell directly or leverage our 1.5kWh 4680 Bharat Cell battery pack to rapidly build and scale their products. With one cell and one scalable platform powering mobility, energy, and advanced technologies, we are building a future-ready energy backbone designed, engineered, and manufactured in India.”
Ola शक्ति is available in two configurations—3kW/5.2kWh priced at ₹1,49,999 and 6kW/9.1kWh priced at ₹2,49,999. Engineered to power air conditioners, refrigerators, induction cookers, farm pumps, and communication equipment, the system offers fast charging and up to 1.5 hours of backup at full load. Customers can purchase the product via the Ola Electric website and authorised stores, with शक्ति 9.1kWh deliveries starting end-January 2026 and शक्ति 5.2kWh from mid-February 2026.
Priced at ₹1,89,999, the Roadster X+ 9.1kWh features an 11kW motor paired with a 9.1kWh 4680 Bharat Cell battery, delivering a top speed of 125 kmph, a class-leading range of up to 500 km, and acceleration of 0–40 kmph in just 2.7 seconds.
Meanwhile, the S1 Pro+ 5.2kWh, priced at ₹1,90,338, comes equipped with a 13kW motor and a 5.2kWh battery powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell. It offers an IDC range of up to 320 km, a top speed of 130 kmph, and achieves 0–40 kmph in just 2.1 seconds, underscoring Ola Electric’s push to scale high-performance, indigenous EV technology across the country.
