The Tamil Nadu government released a fresh set of stringent norms for domestic flyers in the wake of rising Omicron cases.
In a fresh notice, the state government said that all passengers arriving from Kerala “are required to carry a vaccination certificate showing both doses of vaccination or a Covid negative report from an ICMR approved lab not earlier than 72 hours of arrival”.
The state government also directed airport authorities to “ensure passengers from other states arriving at Coimbatore Airport have a negative Covid test report.”
The Tamil Nadu government also said that e-registration is mandatory for all domestic passengers arriving in Tamil Nadu via airports from other states and union territories. The notice said all passengers traveling from other states/UTs or countries should have e-registration.
The notice also mentioned quarantine rules for passengers.
“Institutional quarantine will be for only symptomatic passengers on the discretion of health officials,” reads the notice.
