To assist the civil authorities in this pressing hour of crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Sindh Brigade of the Indian Army undertook a blood donation camp on request of civil medical authorities in collaboration with GGS Govt Hospital at Jamnagar.

The camp is being organized at military hospital Jamnagar over four days from  Wednesday to Saturday (April 1-4). The soldiers who always keep their commitment to duty above volunteered to donate the blood, said a Defence officer.

Similar blood donation camp will be held at Ahmedabad Cantonment on Friday, April 3, said Wing Commander Puneet Chadha, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Defence, Gandhinagar.

Commenting on this humanitarian help,  Wing Commander Puneet Chadha said, “The blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from Army personnel. More than 200 serving personnel volunteered for the cause upholding the greatest tradition of the Indian Army, “Service Before Self”.

A minimum of 200 units of blood is planned to be donated. Indian Army has been at the forefront of all nation-building activities and during natural calamities also, the Army has extended all assistance whenever required.”

ઓપી નમસ્તે – કોવિડ 19: આર્મી દ્વારા સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલો માટે રક્તદાન

કોવિડ-19 મહામારીના કારણે ઉભા થયેલા કટોકટીના આ સમય દરમિયાન સિવિલના સત્તાધીશોને મદદરૂપ થવાના આશયથી, સિવિલ તબીબી સત્તાધીશોની વિનંતીના પગલે જામનગરની GGS સરકારી હોસ્પિટલના સહયોગથી આર્મીની સિંધ બ્રીગેડ દ્વારા રક્તદાન શિબિરનું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. આ શિબિરનું આયોજન 01 એપ્રિલ 20 થી 04 એપ્રિલ 20 દરમિયાન ચાર દિવસ માટે જામનગર મિલિટરી હોસ્પિટલ ખાતે કરવામાં આવ્યું છે. હંમેશા પોતાની ફરજ નિભાવવા માટે પ્રતિબદ્ધ રહેતા જવાનો આ શિબિરમાં સ્વેચ્છાએ રક્તદાન કરી રહ્યા છે.

 

આ રક્તદાન શિબિરમાં સૈન્યના જવાનોએ ખૂબ જ ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ભાગ લીધો હતો. સેવા આપી રહેલા 200થી વધુ જવાનોએ જનસેવાના આશયથી સ્વેચ્છાએ અહીં સેવા આપીને “સ્વ જાત પહેલાં સેવા”ની ભારતીય સૈન્યની મહાન પરંપરા આગળ ધપાવી હતી. આ શિબિરમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 200 યુનિટ રક્ત એકત્ર કરવાનું આયોજન છે. ભારતીય સૈન્ય રાષ્ટ્ર નિર્માણની તમામ પ્રવૃત્તિઓમાં અને કુદરતી આપત્તિઓએમાં પણ હંમેશા અગ્રેસર રહ્યું છે, તેમજ સૈન્યએ જ્યારે પણ જરૂર પડે ત્યારે તમામ પ્રકારે મદદનો હાથ લંબાવ્યો છે.
