In a first of its kind in Gujarat, Orange Children Hospital on Sunday inaugurated Gujarat’s largest Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Chandkheda area of Ahmedabad, a senior doctor said..
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Dr Sagar Patel – Fellowship in Neonatology (IAP), Pediatric Critical Care (Mumbai), Neonatologist and Pediatric Intensivist, said, “We have set up a 5-bedded Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with state-of-the-art facilities in our hospital. Newborns need special facilities and experienced team of doctors to treat them. We are proud to say that our hospital has inhaled nitric oxide system, better machines for hemodialysis of the pediatric population, seven high-frequency ventilators and other world-class healthcare facilities under one-roof. So far we have performed over 5,000 surgeries out of which 1,000+ are cashless. We also provide ambulance facility with ventilators to cater to the needs of children needing emergency treatment.” Dr Sagar Patel added.
“Our team of 12 + doctors offer 24×7 services to children – from newborn to 14 years- in our Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. Ours is the only hospital having healthcare facilities of international standard for newborns and kids in Gujarat,”

All newborns and kids will soon get the benefit of the Central and state governments healthcare schemes.
