TiECON Ahmedabad, the flagship annual conference of ‘The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Ahmedabad, which brings together corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians, investors and startups, will take place on Friday and Saturday – September 23 and 24 this year.
The theme of TiECON Ahmedabad 2022 is Entre’thon in sync with Tie Ahmedabad’s philosophy that entrepreneurship is like a marathon, not just an achievement but a journey and a state of mind.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel will be the chief guest, and Infosys founder NR Narayan Murthy will be the guest of honour at the meet’s inaugural event on Saturday, September 24. The event will witness the main conference with industry experts, unicorns, enablers and catalysts, emerging technologies, and country partners who play a direct role in contributing to the Indian MSME ecosystem.

TiECON Ahmedabad 2022 will enhance intellectual capital, innovation and investment opportunities in and from Gujarat. It will provide a great platform for networking and knowledge sharing for the MSME community and an exclusive platform where startups will be able to pitch before investors. It will directly impact 1000+ entrepreneurs & industry. It is mandatory for the TiE local chapter to invest 25 percent of the funding in any start-up and the rest will be taken care of by the VCs. Around 6 eminent VCs are taking part in this event and start-ups can share their ideas with them to get the required funding. The two-day event will see the participation of over 800 from the country and abroad,” said Jatin Trivedi, President of TiE Ahmedabad.
Jaimin Shah, vice president of TiE Ahmedabad said, “About 70 start-ups have registered so far with us. Out of which 85 percent are from Ahmedabad and the rest include Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, including other southern states and other parts of Gujarat. With innovative ideas, right mentors and funding, start-ups can make a most of it to blossom into a wholesome enterprise. To aid this, we have joined hands with IIM Ahmedabad and holding a Master Class. We are optimistic that startups will be able to collectively raise around Rs 300 crore under TiE Ahmedabad initiative.”
Bhavin Bhagat, honorary secretary, TiE Ahmedabad said, “We are working in tandem with the state government to create more startups. Gujarat Higher Education Secretary M Nagarajan will be taking part in two important sessions and will elucidate on the government’s initiatives in this regard. Students from management and technical institutes are also taking part in this event to hone their knowledge on owning startups and become successful entrepreneurs.”
Elaborating on the funding of start-ups, Kamal Bansal, MD, GVFL Limited said, “This year we have Rs 150 crore fund out of which we will invest about Rs 25 crore in the startup ventures at the TiECON Ahmedabad event.”
TiECON 2022 will provide startups with a great opportunity to pitch their business model before marquee investors such as Venture Catalysts, Nexus Ventures, Unicorn India Ventures, Blume VC, and 100x.VC.
TiECON 2022 will also bring together a comprehensive array of speakers to ensure the conference is meaningful and insightful for all attendees. Participants will get an opportunity to listen to inspiring leaders and speakers at the two-day conference.
