AHMEDABAD, DEC 31
As a befitting tribute to Heeraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, city-based Sabka Padmavati Janaseva Trust has distributed blankets to poor families living on the footpaths and slums in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
Speaking with navjeevanexpress.com, Praveen Kumar, trustee of Sabka Padmavati Janaseva Trust, said, “We have arranged a free blanket distribution programme in Subhash Bridge, Nava Wadaj areas of Ahmedabad on Saturday. With the onset of winter, poor children, old people sleeping on footpaths and slum dwellers who cannot protect themselves need blankets. As a befitting tribute to Heeraben Modi, mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, our trust has organized this free blanket distribution programme. We have also been distributing free food to all the needy on every Thursday. Apart from this, our volunteers teach the poor children on Sabarmati Riverfront to wipe out their illiteracy.”
We urge all good Samaritans to open their wallets and contribute to the trust so as to help widen its activities. All that they have to do is just scan our QR code and make online donation, says Praveen Kumar.
