All para medical professionals should work in rural areas and serve the underprivileged people, said Supriya Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary, health and family welfare, Tamil Nadu while delivering the graduation day address at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research here on Sunday.  Seeing the majority of the Allied Health Students being girls, she said this is a very welcome sign as every child in every family should get higher education for their empowerment. Working in rural, interior and tribal areas will give them valuable lessons and shape their thoughts, values and attitude to people. “As frontline soldiers in health care and first point of contact for patients and their family, you should be the soul of any of any place or area of work and always contribute your best,” she added.
