Paterson Cancer Center, a comprehensive cancer care centre in Vadapalani celebrated its 21st inaugural function in association with Cancer ALleviation Foundation, a charitable trust.
To mark this milestone, the centre organised an exclusive free cancer detection camp for the general public. It is a month-long camp which commenced on Monday, June 19 will conclude next month on July 19. It has been planned to cover more than 1,200 people. In this camp, Routine Blood and Urine routine and also Blood Urea, Serum Creatinine, Blood Sugar, ECG, X-Ray chest, Ultrasound and pap smear along with Specialist consultation will be offered, the organisers said.

Justice PN Prakash, the chief guest, inaugurated the Free cancer detection camp and stressed the importance of early detection. Krishmamachaari Srikkanth, former cricketer and commentator inaugurated the herbal garden and appreciated the utility of herbs in the integrated treatment of malignancy.
Arun Kabilan, DCP (T Nagar) also stressed the importance of cancer awareness amongst general public. . V Ponraj, Scientific advisor of Former President Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam, visited the homeo extract display and appreciated the usefulness of herbs in cancer care.
TA Sekar (Former cricketer), Dhamu (Actor, Educationist), Satya Rao (Advocate), Aparnathy were other dignitaries who were in awe of the great work done in this institute towards patient care with more than 90% cure rate. There were many ambassadors (they are no longer patients, who are cured off the disease) who were present and shared their experiences during treatment.
P T Govindarajan, Trustee of Cancer Alleviation Foundation (CALF) welcomed the gathering and Dr S Vijayaraghavan, Managing Director of Paterson Cancer Cancer elaborated on the treating modalities available in PCC, which has completed educating and creating awareness among more than 15,000 students coming from varoius schools (more than 300) of Tamilnadu.
