Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for various development works in Pulivendula assembly constituency. In all 24 developmental works worth Rs 1,329 crore will be carried out in his home constituency Pulivendula. He along with the family participated in the Christmas celebrations at CSI Church in Pulivendula of Kadapa district and conveyed Christmas wishes to the state people. He laid the foundation stone for various development works in Pulivendula assembly constituency.

cut the cake at the celebrations and the Chief Minister had released the new year calendar.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister had laid foundation stone for various development projects in Pulivendula; construction of mini secretariat, village/ward secretariats. He also laid foundation stone for drainage works of Rs 100 crore, construction of lecturer complex with Rs 63 crore, skill development center with Rs 47 crore, Chitravathi balancing reservoir that costs Rs 75 crore, and for the construction of YSR Government Medical College with Rs 347 crore.
The Chief Minister had laid foundation for various development works and said that a lift irrigation project would be constructed for the stabilization of ayacut from Galeru Nagari Sujala’s main canal to 15,000 acres of the Vemula and Vempalli regions.
The Chief Minister said that water from GNSS would be supplied to Alawalapadu, Pendluru, Naguru. The rivers at the corner of PBC ayacut; V.Kothapalli, Giddangivaripalli, T. Velamaripalli, Muchukkona water stream would join in Papagni river. It would also benefit Nandipalli, Kuppalapalli and Musalireddipally villages that were in the middle. Rs 58 crore would be spent on the project.
He said that a lift irrigation project would be constructed for water supply to 7 villages in Vemulappalli Mandal that would be affected by the Uranium Corporation India Limited. He also said that water supply for 142.56 km in Pulivendula Municipality with Rs 65 crore, 82.50 km drainage with Rs 63 crore. Anganwadi Buildings, beautification of the city, for laying CC roads would be completed in Pulivendula.
He said that under PBC, CBR, water would be supplied to various rivers, lift irrigation projects from PBC to Dollavagu, from Lingala river to Vasambavi, from Nayini river to Bakkanagari Palle river and another lift irrigation project under Lingala canal would be constructed and about Rs 114 crore would be spent on these works.
He said that 7 marketing warehouses would be set up in Pulivendula assembly constituency and Rs 13.2 crore would be spent on Pulivendula and Simhadripuram marketing yards. About Rs 13 crore was allocated for an integrated packing house and cold storage in Pulivendula. About Rs 27 crore was allocated to 132 KW power sub-station in Nallacheruvu village to benefit 14 villages. Five power sub-stations would be set up for agricultural pump sets in 10 villages benefiting nearly 10 thousand homes and Rs 10 crore was allocated for this. Under R & B Rs 19.06 crore was allocated for the construction of roads from Old Kadapa to Pulivendula, Vempalli town to Nuliveedu, Pandikunta, Kollakunta.
He said that Rs 11.52 crore would be spent on the development of area hospital in Pulivendula. Vempalli’s community health center capacity would be increased from 30 beds to 50 beds and Rs 9.30 crore was allocated for this. Integrated Sports Complex and Integrated Sports Academy for 14 sports would be set up with all facilities and coaching would be set up with Rs 17.5 crore. About Rs 20 crore was allocated for the YSR Memorial Gardens and tourist circuit house at Idupulapaya.
The Chief Minister mentioned that about Rs 16.85 crore was allocated for the renovation of 51 temples in the assembly constituency and construction of 18 new temples in SC, ST, BC colonies. About Rs 10 crore would be spent on government offices complex in Pulivendula and Rs 11.2 crore for 32 village secretariats in the assembly constituency. About Rs 4.5 crore was allocated for the construction of Urdu Junior college in Vempalli and Rs 20 crore for degree college in Vempalli. And Rs 20 crore was allocated for the Lecture Complex and Skill Development Center in JNTU College of Engineering.
He said that Rs 3.64 crore for a model police station in Pulivendula and Rs 4 crore for BC boys and girls hostels in Vempalli. About Rs 1329 crores have been allocated for the first phase of these development works. The foundation stone for all these works have been laid by the Chief Minister.
Explaining about the upcoming developmental works the Chief Minister said that water would be supplied to every household through water grid project and DPR was being prepared.
“IG CARL buildings were constructed during my father YS Rajasekhara Reddy reign and it was disappointing to see the condition of such a good building. A proposal is being prepared to bring agriculture, veterinary, horticulture college in those buildings,” he said.
He said that lakes would be constructed after the survey in the villages where there were no lakes. The nearby canals for these villages would be integrated with these lakes for the water storage. Water would be supplied to ayacut through micro-irrigation. The report was being prepared for the Arivetipalli-Denepalli project with 20 TMC capacity and foundation stone is being said for this project. The Muddanur-Kodikonda check post road would be widened.
All these are the events that would take place in the coming days.
