With the advent of social media, everyone is a photographer, photographer and reporter without knowing its pros and cons as well as cyber laws. It can be used for spreading both constructive and destructive messages.
One such message spoils the life of a specially-abled man and his family. The crew and cast have sent a strong message to the followers of social media that don’t rely on anything that conveyed through it and be a responsible citizen. Furthermore, judiciously use the social media and not to trespass on others’ privacy.
Vidharth, a deaf and dumb person working as a librarian in a private school and Karunakaran returned on leave from his job in Dubai are travelling in two different paths and were travelling in a Metro train in Chennai.
Their lives cross path during a metro rail journey. Karunakaran clicks an image of Vidharth sleeping in Metro rail and shared in social media with a caption of ‘a drunkard,’ which affects the life of Vidarth and his family members.
Karunakaran realises the issue caused because of him and tries to set things right. What happens in Vidharth’s life and how Karunakaran is involved in it forms the rest of the story.
The film is based on the Malayalam flick ‘Vikruthi,’ director SP Sakthivel has done complete justice to the original script. Vidharth has done exceptionally well as a deaf and dumb person.
The emotional character was well carried by Vidharth. Karunakaran has as usual delivered a natural performance.
The supporting characters have all done their part well. Lakshmi Priya stands out in her character as Vidharth’s wife.
The movie makes the audience laugh, cry and feel empathy before trolling someone else. The movie has its highs and lows.
Music Director Shamnath Nag is good. Pandikumar’s camerawork is superb, and editing by RS Sathishkumar is a really an appreciable job.
