In a scathing attack on the BJP-ruled Gujarat government, Delhi Social Welfare Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Rajendra Pal Gautam on Saturday said “under Gujarat model development’ over 6,000 government schools have been closed down and people of Gujarat have fed up with the BJP rule and longing to install AAP for good governance.

Speaking to the media at the party’s state office in Navrangpura here, Gautam said, “Government schools are being closed, under a conspiracy. The Government of Gujarat has so far closed down more than 6,000 government schools. This government wants to enslave the poor-backward-tribal people. However, this can be stopped. In Delhi, a major part of the Kejriwal government’s expenditure is on education.”
With the best infrastructure and teachers, children of poor and middle-class families study in government-run schools in Delhi. Thousands of them have become doctors, engineers, and civil service officers. And above all, hundreds of them have cleared the tough NEET and JEE without joining any coaching classes. Whereas in the ‘Model state of Gujarat’ private schools do a roaring business, Gautam added.
He also added that mohalla clinics of Delhi have become a trend-setter in offering free healthcare to the poor. There is no inspector raj but the NCR Govt is business-friendly.
Speaking at Stadium ward in the city and Sanand taluka seeking votes for AAP candidates, Gautam said, “Babasaheb Ambedkar had liberated 86% people of the country from slavery after a great struggle. You have got the right to vote, understand the value of this vote. Do not sell your votes to the capitalists. Form a government which is a right of the common man.”

Gujarat State President, Gopal Italia said, “We are moving forward with new hope, new ray.
