Want to give a home, name to an orphan animal, this week-end do visit Kalakshtra. iAdopt, in association with Manya Art & Kraft Association has organised a pet adoption drive on January 11 and 12 at Santhe, Kalakshetra Grounds in Chennai. This drive is aimed at homing Indian Mongrel pups, dogs, kittens and cats.
iAdopt was started by a handful of like-minded volunteers (aka animal lovers) with the primary objective of rescuing, rehabilitating and finding forever homes for abandoned and homeless dogs, pups, cats and kittens.
This initiative is also supported by Shaggie Pet Shop, Nandanam who will offer a Special 10% discount on all the pet food products and accessories to families who adopt a pet from iAdopt, and Sanchu Animal Hospital, Adyar who will sponsor vaccines (which will be due next) to all the kids who get adopted through this drive and also free vet consultation at the venue.
iAdopt’s team has independently homed over 300 pups, kittens and dogs during the last three years. Besides they have also worked closely with other pet adoption groups to help them with their adoption activities, and in educating families on various aspects involving pets.
Adoption mela would be held between 12 noon and 6 p.m. both days.
