In a major boost to youth employment and the vision of Viksit Bharat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 17th Rozgar Mela on October 24, 2025, where over 51,000 appointment letters will be distributed to newly selected candidates across 40 locations in the country.
The Rozgar Mela, launched by the Prime Minister in October 2022, has emerged as a transformative initiative aimed at accelerating job creation and strengthening citizen-centric governance through mission-mode recruitment drives.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has consistently emphasised that India’s youth are the driving force of national transformation. “When India’s young talent gets opportunity, skill and support, the nation’s growth becomes unstoppable,” he said during an earlier Rozgar Mela address.
Spotlight on Gujarat and Tamil Nadu
At Vadodara, Gujarat, the Rozgar Mela will be organised at the Postal Training Centre, Harni Road, in the august presence of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Government of India.
In Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the event will bring together young achievers, educators and industry leaders, reflecting the state’s growing role in the nation’s employment and skilling landscape.

Nationwide Recruitment Drive Across Key Sectors
New recruits from across the country will join the Central Government in multiple Ministries and Departments, including Railways, Posts, Health, Education, Home Affairs, Financial Services, and Public Sector Enterprises such as ONGC, HPCL, GAIL, Coal India, and Power Grid Corporation.
Positions range from engineers, officers, technicians, doctors, and professors to postal assistants and security personnel, reflecting a diverse employment landscape across technical, administrative and service sectors.
Digital Onboarding through Karmayogi Prarambh
The newly appointed employees will also undergo training via the ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’ module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, featuring over 3,600 e-learning courses to enhance their professional capabilities through flexible, device-based learning.

The initiative underlines the government’s commitment to empowering young citizens to actively contribute to nation-building through improved service delivery, innovation, and leadership in governance.
Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, observed,
