Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday virtually inaugurated 35 PSA Oxygen Plants across the country from Rishikesh, Uttarakhand under the PM CARES Fund, says a release.

He also inaugurated 18 PSA Oxygen Plants at Bharuch Civil Hospital and 17 other hospitals in Gujarat. They are Bharuch, Patan, Palanpur, Tharad, Khedbrahma, Bhiloda, Mansa, Vadnagar, Godhra, Santrampur, Garudeshwar, New Civil Hospital-Surat, Schmeier Hospital-Surat, Sola Civil and Gandhidham. While the newly established PSA plants at Rajpipla, Zhalod and Morbi by Gujarat CSR Authority have also been dedicated.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was present at Pandit Omkarnath Thakur Hall in Bharuch to join the event. Bharuch Civil Hospital oxygen plant with a capacity of 1.87 metric tons was built at a cost of Rs. 1.05 crore from the PM Cares Fund.

On the occasion of inauguration of PSA Oxygen Plant of Bharuch Civil Hospital, CM said that the Prime Minister has so far donated a total of 15 Oxygen Plants from the PM Cares Fund for the health and well-being of the citizens of Gujarat. A total of 18 plants have been made available to the State, including 3 Oxygen plants set up under CSR.
Rehab welfare measure for beggars
Patel said that the government has planned to provide all the facilities, including accommodation, meals, healthcare to the beggars in the state so that they can give up begging. The government is making efforts to make them self-reliant through employment.
The Chief Minister honoured the Sarpanchs who have completed 100 percent vaccination in the villages and the frontline Corona Warriors like doctors and medical staff.
The CM also inaugurated the newly constructed Revenue Staff Quarters at Ankleshwar built at a cost of Rs 9.58 crore. Later, he also visited Bharuch Civil Hospital and inspected the new PSA Oxygen Plant.
In the welcome address, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare Manoj Agarwal said that in Bharuch district, 98.39 percent people have been given first dose and 85 percent second dose, while 40 percent people have been fully vaccinated.
Deputy Chief whip of the Legislative Assembly and MLA Dushyantbhai Patel, MP Mansukhbhai Vasava, MLA Ishwarsinh Patel, Arun Singh Rana, District Police Chief Rajendrasinh Chudasama, District Panchayat President Alpaben Patel, Commissioner of Health and Social Welfare Jai Prakash Shivahare, Managing Director of GMSCL were also present.
