Chennai City Region, under the Tamilnadu Postal Circle of the Department of Posts (DoP), on Friday announced it has entered into an agreement with Annachy, the e-commerce platform of Saravana Stores, to facilitate parcel delivery across India. This collaboration is for last-mile connectivity, particularly targeting rural and remote areas where postal channel remains the most reliable delivery channel.
With its extensive network of 1,64,987 post offices across the country, Department of Posts continues to play a vital role in bridging the digital divide and enabling inclusive e-commerce growth. The partnership extends Annachy’s reach, ensuring timely deliveries even in far flung villages. So far, 10,872 parcels ordered via the Annachy app have been successfully delivered through postal channel across Tamil Nadu and other states.
India Post offers a range of customer-centric solutions tailored for e-commerce businesses, including Credit facility, Volume-based discounts, Pick-up services and API integration for end-to-end consignment tracking
Additionally, grievance redressal mechanism is set up for corporate clients ensuring prompt resolution of delivery-related issues.
