CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment and K Sambasivam’s Sri Krish Pictures come together to produce Prajan and Ivana Varun-starrer ‘Raanjha’, a love-based detective thriller directed by debutant Santhosh Raavanan.
The film’s title is taken from the tragic Urdu love story of Heer and Raanjha but a crime thriller.
CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment, a leading production house known for finding and launching young talents in the film industry, has joined forces with K Sambasivam’s Shri Krish Pictures for a new movie titled ‘Raanjha’.
Prajan and Ivana Varun are playing the lead roles in the film directed by Santhosh Raavanan who shot to fame with a short film. Athiran Sathish, Padman and Anupama Kumar play key characters.
Speaking about the film, director Santhosh Raavanan said, “The story centers around a young woman, and a series of suspicious deaths take place around her. The film will explore the shocking reason behind those incidents.”
Speaking further, he said, “The power of love is incredible and incomparable. It has the strength to create, protect and destroy. We have tried to show on screen the all-powerful love in a new angle, while keeping its nature unchanged.”
‘Raanjha’ has music composed by Hari of ‘Kaalangalil Aval Vasantham’ fame and cinematography by Kishore Ramachandran. Ashwin, the editor of ‘Soodhu Kavvum 2’, is handling the editing of ‘Raanjha’.
The shoot of ‘Raanjha’, produced by CV Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment and K. Sambasivam’s Sri Krish Pictures and directed by Santhosh Raavanan is in its final stages. The film’s team is planning to bring ‘Raanjha’ to screens soon.
