NEW DELHI, MAY 12

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 8 pm on Tuesday. This was stated by the Prime Minister’s Office.

Shri @narendramodi will be addressing the nation at 8 PM this evening.

Modi has been addressing the country off and on during the nationwide lockdown owing to the coronavirus pandemic. Last time the PM had addressed the nation was on April 14.

Prime Minister held consultation with the Chief Ministers’ over video conference on cautious reopening the economy after the third phase of lock out.

As the pandemic is intensified in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami appealed not to open train and air transport to Chennai during the meeting.

Few Chief Ministers’ had suggested extending the lockdown till the month end and few others demanded financial package to meet relief measures.
