Stating that in today’s fast and digital era, expressing gratitude is being forgotten, Prin MC Shah College, NavGujarat College Campus, Ahmedabad, celebrated “World Happiness Day” on Wednesday in a unique way. The program was held with the aim to develop good manners and respect for elders in the society. The students of the college wrote a letter showing respect and affection towards their parents and teachers.
The program was organized by the college with the aim of instilling good manners in the students’ mind and learning respect for elders in the society.
The college encouraged students to show their love towards parents and teachers. Students have admitted that whatever joy and happiness they have in their lives are due to their parents and teachers. On the occasion of this program, students expressed their love and kudos by writing letters to their parents and teachers in the form of poetry and prose.
During the program, the atmosphere became very emotional and the students’ had tears in their eyes. After the program, students presented the letter to their parents at home.
On July 12, 2012, the General Assembly of the United Nations passed a resolution to declare March 20 as the International Day of Happiness. From that point onwards, the exceptional day has been celebrated every year around the same time. Happiness is an integral part of our lives. It is significant in life to find something to hold on that can make us happy and let it motivate us in our lives. It is important to note that the first love and inspiration in everyone’s life comes from their parents and teachers.
