Prin MC Shah Commerce College, a part of the Navgujarat Group of Colleges, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society successfully organised a Blood Donation Camp on Friday at the staffroom in the campus.
The event was organised between 8:00 am and 10.30 am, with a view to raise awareness among students about the importance of blood donation and inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the cause. Students and faculty members and other participants were encouraged to donate blood.
The camp, conducted as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Indian Red Cross Society, and the Prin MC Shah Commerce College, saw active participation from 40 students. Their contributions demonstrated the noble act of donating blood, highlighting the significance of such humanitarian efforts in saving lives.
Students from the Navgujarat College of Computer Applications also actively participated in the camp.
The event was graced by Dr Vishwas Amin, General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross, and held under the astute guidance of Principal ND Shah. The programme was made successful through the dedicated efforts of Dr Janak Kaviya, NSS Programme Officer, Dr Masum Chaudhari, In-Charge of Navgujarat Trust Health Centre, and faculty members Dr Beena Patel and Dr Ronak Rana.
